Расположен в горах Сьерра-Мадре [Sierra Madre] на юге штата Вайоминг, на высоте 2286 м. Открыт Дж. Бриджером [Bridger, Jim]. В 60-е гг. XIX здесь проходил сухопутный маршрут [overland route], использовавшийся "Пони-экспрессом" [Pony Express]
